The Process

It starts with a conversation
Our initial conversation is where we get to know each other. We call it a lifestyle meeting as it’s our first opportunity to learn about you and your family’s unique needs. This is also where we aim to provide you with insight into who we are as a builder.

Through the initial consultation we layout out a plan of action for developing your project. We will discuss in general terms your design and aesthetic preferences and explore where we are building, the characteristics of your lot, the anticipated timeline, and the overall budget for your home.

The foundation for every project we undertake is a relationship. A new home requires a great deal of interaction and at the end of the consultation, you will be able to tell if we are a good fit to work with you to bring your vision to life.

Design
This is where the vision for your custom dream home takes shape. Working together with an experienced designer, we start by working out a floor plan that meets your needs and is designed around how you live. Your personal touch and tastes are paired with design and function.

Once we have the footprint of the floor plan worked out, we marry an exterior façade that reflects your vision for the exterior look of your home. Throughout the design process we work with you, the designer, and the architectural controller to ensure we are on budget and not compromising on the composition of the home.

Specifications
Starting from our established baseline specifications we work closely with you to detail the optional specifications to include in your home. With the plan in hand, we set you up to meet with our trades so that you can explore the full range of optional items to include in your home.

With these detailed specifications, we price out each component of the plan to arrive at a fixed price. At the end of the process, you will have a detailed permit ready plan, defined specifications, and a fixed price to build you can rely on.

Agreement
We are ready to build! You review the detailed construction design and cost specifications for your new home. We explain the building process and what you can expect as we move through each construction phase. Then we navigate the permit process with your fully engineered plan.

With permits in hand, we are ready to dig. We will provide weekly updates and guide you through any remaining selections to keep you on schedule and budget. On-site visits keep you informed through the whole build.

As a fully custom builder, we are happy to accommodate changes though out construction. We will provide you with a detailed description of the cost implications for any changes upfront so you can make an informed decision on how to proceed.

Possession
Once your home is ready to move in, we set up a walkthrough with our construction and service supervisor to review and highlight any outstanding concerns.

We will arrange on-site orientation meetings with the mechanical contractors so you can learn how to operate and maintain each system. You receive a package with a Homeowners Guide including all operation manuals and warranty documents.

Finally, the service coordinator will explain the warranty process, what you can expect in first year of living in your new home, and how Managen will continue to support you in the years to come.
